Sofia. “The possibility to have a 7.5-magnitude
earthquake in Bulgaria at moment is more than hypothetical,” said
Nikolay Miloshev, Director of the National Institute of Geophysics,
Geodesy and Geography, speaking with
FOCUS News Agency. “None of the seismologists with the Bulgarian Academy of Science (BAS)
has even thought of issuing a warning for an earthquake of this scale,
since it cannot be predicted. After the jolt registered at 00:59 a.m.
today, there have not been any other reported so far. There will be
after-shocks around the epicentre around the town of Pernik today and
